History
At Wath Victoria Primary School, our history curriculum is designed to provide our pupils with a rich, coherent, and progressive understanding of the past. We have chosen to use the KAPOW Primary History scheme of work as it aligns closely with the requirements of the National Curriculum and provides a sequential, knowledge-rich approach and the units are taught termly.
The KAPOW curriculum also provides opportunities for our pupils to develop their historical enquiry skills, such as using a range of sources to investigate the past and forming their own judgments and interpretations. This supports our aim to develop confident, resilient, and independent individuals who can contribute positively to society as active citizens.
