Computing

At Wath Victoria Primary School, we have carefully selected the KAPOW condensed computing curriculum to provide our pupils with a robust, progressive, and engaging computing education. This curriculum aligns closely with the requirements of the National Curriculum, ensuring that our pupils develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and understanding to thrive in the digital world.

The condensed curriculum was chosen to ensure that children had a exposure to the full breadth of  the National Curriculum whilst ensuring that appropriate curriculum time is given to the subject in relation to others. The children cover two units in the autumn and summer term and one unit in the spring term.

The theme of internet safety is covered every year in response to the need of the children in school. Pressing needs around the safe use of the internet are also covered in school assemblies and built into PSHE lessons when required.
